Eivind Karlsen was born in Nairobi, Kenya and attended high school in Scotland. He studied History at Yale University and he received his Masters of Architecture from Columbia University. He lives in New York and has designed projects in the US, the Dominican Republic, and the United Kingdom. He is currently the Head of Design at Industrious (www.industriousoffice.com). Prior to this he was a Senior Consultant at AECOM in the Strategy+ group. He has worked for Robert A.M. Stern Architects, Rangr Studio and Young Projects. He has taught design studios at Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation and was an Adjunct Associate Researcher at the Center for Urban Real Estate at Columbia University.
